In the late 1600s, French explorers came upon a curving, meandering stream in north central Morehouse Parish in Louisiana. They named it the Bonne Idee--French for “good idea.”
For centuries the Bonne Idee made its way to Beouf River to the south--its nutrient-filled waters forming rich alluvial silt loam soils along its one hundred mile journey. It is in these fields formed by the co-mingling of unique land and water that perfect conditions are created for Bonne Idee Produce to yield the sweetest fruits and vegetables.
